The City of Melville named in Australia’s top 10 property growth precincts.
Willagee included in property report’s top 50 performers Australia wide.
Property Reports from property researcher Terry Ryder have identified The City of Melville and Willagee specifically as property “hotspots” thanks to its many favourable characteristics. Current and proposed investments into infrastructure, retail, public spaces and property developments have all contributed to this recognition.
Don’t take our word for it.
Nigel Satterley; March 2021. Property mogul, Nigel Satterley, identified Willagee as his #1 hotspot prediction.
“Located 20 minutes from Perth’s CBD, Willagee’s prominent school district, access to the freeway and direct bus services offer residents tremendous convenience.”**
Trent Fleskins; January 2021. The managing director of Strategic Property Group and host of The Perth Property Show podcast predicted Willagee as the second hottest location to buy in 2021.***
REIWA; 2021. Willagee was the 10th fastest-selling Perth suburb for the year to December 2020. It was voted one of the top three best suburbs to live in on Homely, thanks to its community and location. It is 12km south of Perth and only a 10-minute drive from Fremantle and surrounding beaches. ****
Willagee has also been named in the top 10 fastest selling Perth suburbs for the 12 months to March 2020, according to REIWA.
Willagee is a peaceful, affordable and well-connected suburb just 12km south of Perth. It is only a 10-minute drive to Fremantle and surrounding beaches so it has proven popular for retirement villages, aged care homes and land development. It’s no surprise then that several developments in Willagee have sprung up in the past couple of years.
Willagee is home to a range of new developments. Alchera Living operates four retirement villages in the City of Melville, with two of them located in Willagee. The latest development, The Reserve over 55’s development, was completed in 2019 and offers 36 apartments opposite the spacious Winnacott Reserve.
Further development such as Braemar’s Cooinda aged care home, which was completed in 2019, provides accommodation for 108 residents. The launch of this major Willagee development assists in meeting the rising care needs of seniors in the local area. For those keen to build their own home, Satterley’s new gallery estate is located on the corner of North Lake Road and Archibald Street. The estate will offer a range of homesites as part of its mix, with titles scheduled for 2020.
These landmark developments coupled with the significant housing renewal within Willagee have revitalised the suburb in recent years.
Alchera Living CEO Alan Marshall said “We carefully considered locations for our new apartment complex and Willagee was an obvious choice for The Reserve over 55’s apartments. We’re so pleased to be able to offer our village residents nearby access to libraries, parks, cafes and everything else Willagee has to offer. It’s central to Perth CBD, Fremantle and all of the retail and entertainment options in between.”
With more development activity planned for the local area, Willagee continues to be a growing and thriving community now, and into the future.
